Dog mom, party planner, travel enthusiast and experimental chef all in one friendly package! Meet our People Analyst, Mariana Stankovic, and read about her little corner of the Digibee the world.
Why Digibee?

Mariana was looking for the right professional and hadn’t found them yet when she saw an opportunity at Digibee. She already had professional connections with some of the People Team members and knew they would be “a wonderful team to work with.” What piqued her interest even more was seeing that Digibee had a spectacular product that she immediately recognized as “something every company needs.” Now, 10 months at Digibee, Mariana feels like she’s found the place she was looking for.
Life at Digibee
Mariana has loved organizing events since childhood. She finds satisfaction in organizing and managing the details. During our conversation, it also became immediately clear to me that she is an engaging communicator. When she described her role at Digibee – managing internal events, focusing on employee communication and engagement, and developing our onboarding process – it seemed to me that the role was a natural and perfect fit for her.

Mariana’s psychology degree has been incredibly valuable to her work. The curriculum was eye-opening and she said it was “very interesting to learn and understand how people think.” Having this background has helped her “communicate with people, deal with difficult situations, and help people stay engaged.” She is fascinated by differences in culture, history, backgrounds, and experiences. Communicating with people every day is essential to her role, and she finds it “very rewarding” to have the opportunity to connect at various touchpoints in a person’s professional journey.
Digibee is a global company, spread across regions, time zones, both in-office and remotely, and with different languages. This presents many challenges to overcome. Mariana feels that Digibee does a remarkable job of prioritizing and promoting communication and collaboration; but as Digibee continues to grow, these obstacles will also grow, and Digibee will need to remain flexible.
The Future Ahead
If you don’t mind a quick retrospective of the band, Timbuk 3, “the future is so bright I need to wear sunglasses!” Mariana is excited about the future of Digibee, both as a company and for her own professional journey. My interpretation of Mariana is that the “special sauce” is having an exceptional, universal product led by an incredible leadership team. She appreciates that our C-suite and leadership are not only dedicated and engaged in every aspect of the company, but how rare it is that they are also visible and accessible to everyone.
Digibee is growing faster every day and we are moving towards more and more global opportunities. With growth comes change. Mariana’s role has recently evolved to include partnering with others on the People team to further develop our onboarding process. She is looking forward to this challenge and making an impact on new employees as they are introduced to the company. And while it is uncertain, as Mariana moves into this next phase, she is also encouraged because she feels that Digibee sets its people up for success by allowing “the room to grow and the opportunity to learn and change.”
Balancing Work and Life at Digibee
Now comes the part where I wish the interview could have been in person – Mariana loves to cook and does it almost every day! It would have been an even better conversation if it had been shared over a fabulous dinner (I’m just saying). She is an experimental chef, not one to use recipes, always experimenting with different ingredients and variations. The secret to her culinary success is that she “cooks from the heart” (although I’m sure the butter helps).
Mariana’s other passions include dogs, home decor, and traveling. She is the proud “mom” of two fur babies, Zeca the Pomeranian and Cisco the Chihuahua. She has a “healthy” Pinterest addiction, which she uses to inspire home decor and event planning ideas. She also travels as often as possible. I asked her if she had been to the US and laughed when she told me she was in New York in January! Since she lives in the warmer climate of São Paulo, I can’t imagine how shocking it must have been for her to be in NYC during the freezing winter months!

I’m incredibly fortunate to continue meeting fascinating people like Mariana who make Digibee a better place to work.
