Migrated interfaces

Founded in 1962, Vivara began as a family-owned store in downtown São Paulo. Today, it is one of the largest luxury jewelry chains in Latin America, with over 300 points of sale in operation. “Making each story unique and special” is Vivara’s purpose, thus becoming a reference in the jewelry world and delighting its thousands of customers.

Maintaining the commitment and care that ancient goldsmiths had, Vivara creates exclusive and timeless jewelry that marks special moments in the lives of its customers. Therefore, the company is concerned with the excellence of its processes, proof that the jewelry is produced strictly according to the best international standards of quality and environmental commitment.

The challenges

To ensure greater efficiency and agility in the company's processes, Vivara implemented the SAP S/4HANA system, which required the migration of more than 100 interfaces and the optimization of more than 80 flows that had been discontinued, in a period of just 6 months.

To help with this challenge, Vivara chose Digibee's iPaaS platform, which allowed all integrations to be carried out and the systems architecture to be modernized in an agile and scalable manner. The project had the following objectives:

  • Provide customers with a better experience in digital services
  • Reduce inventory costs, billing process and total cost of ownership
  • Greater agility in system maintenance and updates
  • Migrate legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA without downtime

The plan

The project was divided into two phases.

The first phase was completed in October 2022 and consisted of migrating/integrating all interfaces to SAP S/4HANA. To mitigate risks in the implementation phase, a plan and actions were defined for each of the activities carried out by the areas impacted by the system replacement.

The second phase began in the second half of 2023. All e-commerce data became decoupled, enabling greater availability and flexibility of the systems.

The results

Vivara completed the migration of all its systems to SAP S/4HANA in just six months, with the go-live being completed in just two weeks and without incident.

With this new architecture model, the company now has greater flexibility in delivering its services, allowing it to choose the best business partner to run each flow for each type of defined client.

The variety of possible combinations ensures that one business flow does not affect the others, in addition to providing Vivara with the freedom to change partners without impacting its other systems.

“Through the partnership with Digibee, Vivara also reduces project costs and deadlines, increases the effectiveness of testing and the quality of the solution, ensures data synchronization and allows for greater agility in system maintenance and updates, as it establishes a decoupling between applications” – Orlando Andreotti, CIO of Vivara
