I recognized Thais as a people person immediately after we started our conversation, so it was no surprise to learn that she found her calling working in human resources. I could have talked to her for the rest of the day about her role and the significant impact it has on The pricing model culture, but we are both busy (Digi)bees and had an exciting job to get back to.

Why Digibee?
For our HR Business Partner for Customer Success, Thais, she was the first to be drawn to the Digibee dream. Thais had known one of our co-founders, Rodrigo, for months and immediately saw his brilliance, drive, passion and determination, and was captivated by his story. Not just to conceive of a company from the ground up, but that Digibee had this remarkable and universally critical product to bring to market. She was instantly sold on the dream and wanted to be a part of building it. Rodrigo mentioned that he was looking for someone to build a team of people, and Thais said she thought “wow – can I be that person?” Now, two years later, Thais is that person, excited for whatever comes next and eager to see it happen.
Life at Digibee
Helping build the Digibee team has been an incredible journey. Thais feels that her greatest asset is connecting with people, and as soon as we started talking, I could agree. For her, a former psychologist, communication and building meaningful connections are the top skills to prioritize in order to create a healthy and successful work environment. She also loves being part of the hiring process and influencing decisions that directly impact key positions on the Customer Success team. In her interactions with leadership, she provides guidance and support to “continuously develop the necessary interpersonal skills that extend across the team and this area of the company.” She enjoys seeing the impact of this work. Thais noted that “you can have the best processes in the world, but they will only work if the people implementing them are engaged.”
Of course, every job has its challenges, but in the case of Digibee, they’re good to have – we’re growing fast. “This speed requires a lot of flexibility and a willingness to grow. We’re building this company together. The challenge,” says Thais, “is for everyone to see their responsibility in this and support each other. Scaling is hard.” Everyone is busy and it’s important for managers to encourage and push their teams, but it’s equally important to remain flexible and keep the lines of communication open so we can manage the pressure and workload as a team.

The Future Ahead
There was a noticeable shift in Thais’ enthusiasm when I brought up the topic of Digibee’s future. From her perspective, she already had a sense of the company’s potential in Brazil. She not only believes in Digibee’s product, but she feels it has the potential to solve business problems globally – and that’s really exciting. What’s unique about Digibee’s recipe is having a fantastic product and fantastic people supporting it. Thais believes that “everyone who works here has the greatest opportunity. Because of the level of interaction – we’re not hierarchical – everyone has access to the coolest, most amazing people. And we have a great product. What other company has that opportunity?” From her perspective, it’s both personally and professionally rewarding to be a part of.
Thais has a vision for how she fits into Digibee’s future. She is ambitious and has been committed to maintaining a passionate and purposeful workforce since joining the company. She wants to continue to have opportunities to impact and influence leadership and decision-makers to position Digibee as an industry leader, not only for its technology, but as a desirable place to work.
Balancing Work and Life at Digibee

It’s probably an understatement to say, but being a mother of three girls keeps Thais very busy. She laughed that she doesn’t really have time for hobbies; what little free time she does have is dedicated to her family. But she also acknowledges how her experiences as a mother have shaped her personally and professionally. “Drama doesn’t fit into my life. Balancing work and home, you need resilience and flexibility to thrive.” She spoke about the importance of staying objective and always challenging your perspectives to keep an open mind for solutions. For Thais, motherhood has shown her the value of some of her innate traits: prioritization, organization, practicality, pragmatism, and optimism. These traits not only help her teach her children how to navigate the world – but they also directly influence how she conducts herself in the professional arena. She is very proud to work for Digibee and to model for her children what it means to be a professional, healthy, and successful working mother.
I’m grateful to have the opportunity to continue meeting new (to me) Digibees like the Thai Magnetics and seeing the company through their eyes.
